The End
Had the newspaper banquet tonight at Parma's and got to say goodbye to my seniors. It was a nice time and a nice meal. The Elite Eight are gone. It'll be interesting to see what next year brings.
I always hear teachers saying that the reason they teach is because of the kids. I always thought that was more or less crap until this year. What a special bunch. I wish them all the best of success.
Now it's summer and the heatwave is coming. So what's it gonna be Bryan? Coast, Hill Country, Big Bend, or Santa Fe?
Five Top Goals for the summer
1. Find a new apartment
2. Start reading again
3. Save $$$
4. Start working this new Natural Slim plan
5. De-stuffify
Hopefully Garry and I will be going to the DMA tomorrow to catch the Imperial China exhibit before it is gone. And maybe I'll catch a return matinee of Episode III.
BTW, here's my 101-word review of Revenge of the Sith.
A film that could fully please nobody was satisfying enough to me that I rank it third behind ESB and ANH all time. I really appreciated the fact that Jedi don't turn to the dark side because they desire to be in touch with evil, but rather are overcome by their passions (in Anakin's case - love). Visually stunning and packed with plot, the movie is a little too full and not without flaws (including painfully awkward screams from James Earl Jones). Nonetheless, it is a ride and means to an end. The finishing touches on the greatest villain in movie history.
Currently...
Spinning - Wonderbar, Martin Sexton
Reading - The Radical Write, Bobby Hawthorne
Viewing - The Shield on FX
Surfing - Yahoo! Local (had to find a Kinko's)
Considering - Making a dental appointment
Feeling - clean
