Arlo in snow

Arlo just after a brief snowfall. I love this shot.

I decided to do a little photo-blogging today to spice things up.
Maybe it is because I am probably going to the DMA today and I wanted to insert a little more visual-ness into the blog.
Who knows?
Maybe I'm just bored.
Oh Death

A grave marker in the St. Boniface cemetary in New Dixie, Arkansas. Marks the final resting place of three Lipsmeyer children, the oldest of whom lived to be 11. The top inscription reads "Weep not Momma and Daddy, we'll wait for you in heaven."

RIP Townes
Pancho and Lefty
Living on the road my friend,
is gonna keep you free and clean
Now you wear your skin like iron,
Your breath as hard as kerosene.
You weren't your mama's only boy,
but her favorite one it seems
She began to cry when you said goodbye,
And sank into your dreams.
Pancho was a bandit boy,
his horse was fast as polished steel
He wore his gun outside his pants
For all the honest world to feel.
Pancho met his match you know
on the deserts down in Mexico
Nobody heard his dying words,
ah but that's the way it goes.
All the Federales say
they could have had him any day
They only let him slip away
out of kindness, I suppose.
Lefty, he can't sing the blues
all night long like he used to.
The dust that Pancho bit down south
ended up in Lefty's mouth
The day they laid poor Pancho low,
Lefty split for Ohio
Where he got the bread to go,
there ain't nobody knows
The poets tell how Pancho fell,
and Lefty's living in cheap hotels
The desert's quiet, Cleveland's cold,
And so the story ends we're told
Pancho needs your prayers it's true,
but save a few for Lefty too
He only did what he had to do,
and now he's growing old
Living on the road my friend,
is gonna keep you free and clean
Now you wear your skin like iron,
Your breath as hard as kerosene.

Why don't I ever post here anymore?
Haikuesday II
darkroom blues abound
crazy music wails on through
stop bath THEN fixer
Laura's got a trip
a South African summer
Nelson Mandela
The office downstairs
is an absolute beating.
Stays with me all day.
"Freaks and Geeks" is great
I think I will write the next
two poems 'bout it.
Desario learns
that dwarves can be powerful
if they're named Carlos
Rosso loves his job
"12 grand a year" and mom's car
"And I'm overpaid."
Currently...
Spinning - Texas Music
Reading - Journalistica
Viewing - A subtly salacious sunshine
Surfing - Justin fixed my computer!
Considering - Coming in early
Feeling - Like a broken-down sack-a-dirt.

Hung out with the Jules tonight
And last night too. She wants me to be a stand-up comedian.
What? So I can die just like poor Mitch Hedberg?
Nope.
